LT ABC
LT ABC (Low Tension Aerial Bunched Cable) provided by Deshraj Cable is used for overhead electricity distribution for residential purposes in urban and rural areas. We follow IS: 14255 criteria of construction, material guidelines and performance of ABC in making these cables. This cable is a novel concept, offering high safety and reliability over bare overhead cables and underground cables.
The key reason why these cables are popular is the cost efficiency, less amount of labour, and less number of poles it requires in installation. Our Low-Tension Aerial Bunched Cables are composed of 3 aluminium core conductors twisted in bunched form for maximum contact points, and a messenger conductor to provide mechanical support. How We Construct LT Aerial Bunched Cable
In our LT ABC cables, we have 3 stranded aluminium conductors which are sheathed by an insulating material. A neutral conductor in three-phase supply, and lighting conductor for street lights. The main weight in these cables is carried by the messenger conductor which is high-density aluminium alloy. For identification purposes, these are provided with ridges for different phases. The insulated conductors are twisted together in a right-handed direction. The insulation is typically XLPE (Cross-linked Polyethylene) because it has tremendous corrosion resistance and fire-retardant properties.
