What is Aluminium Armored Cable
Aluminium Armoured Cable is made to prevent the mechanical damage caused in high-stress underground wiring systems. It consists of stranded aluminium wires bundled together and provides an insulation of XLPE or PVC. The aluminium wires are drawn and annealed for optimal conductivity. The bedding of the semiconductor aluminium or steel is layered between aluminium strands and the outer layer of insulation. This armoured cable has huge benefits when it comes to resistance against various environmental factors like moisture, vibration, abrasion, etc.
Construction
To construct these cables, firstly we prepare the conductors. We produce raw materials which are aluminium, its alloy, steel and material for insulation from trusted vendors. For conductors, we draw aluminium rods into the desired dimension with the die-casting method. These are annealed to achieve the required conductivity. These wires are stranded and then insulated by the XLPE layer. Aluminium Wire Armour is applied helically ensuring a tight and protective covering. Finally, the whole assembly is wrapped with an outer sheath to hold the components together.
